TOP SIRE DEAD

/"'The Press" Special Service) AUCKLAND. Scottish Command, one of the most successful New Zealandbred sires in recent years, died suddenly at Matamata last Friday. He was aged 22. The cause of death is believed to have been a heart attack. Owned by Mr R. A. McKenzie, of Wellington, Scottish Command was a top-class pacer. Among his wins was the 1959 Auckland Trotting Cup, off 60 yards. In all, he had 16 wins and 48 minor placings. He was an immediate success at the stud. His best winners have been Command Performer (1:58.6). Scottish Charm, placed in the. New Zealand and Auckland Cups. Black Watch, Hundred Pipers, Bella's Command. Scottish Warrior. Paula Scott and Scottish Laddie. By U Scott from Mary Wootton. by Springfield Globe, Scottish Command was represented by winners in Australia, and also three in the United States.
