THE POSITION: The Management Accountant - Operations is responsible for the cost and management information systems. He has a staff of 20 including a qualified assistant. E.D.P., standard costing and detailed budget control are used in the management information system that covers a wide range of production activities, ancillary services and capital projects. Besides the normal role of assisting operating departments in the analysis and interpretation of information, further development of the system and special investigations work is required to make the system more effective. THE MAN: Applicants should be in the age group 25-45 with Commerce or Accountancy qualifications. He will have had experience in all aspects of a highly developed management information system and have the ability to communicate with all levels of management.
