Banana sauce
(By CELIA TIMMS) Banana sauce is delicious served cold over ice cream or hot with a plain steamed pudding. Quantities given make enough for about | of a cup. You will need.— 2 medium-size bananas i cup castor sugar 1 tablespoon cherry brandy or Maraschino liqueur i cup cream.
Method: Mash ripe bananas and rub through a sieve, or whirl in blender. Add sugar and liqueur and bring just to boiling point over low heat. Chill. Just before using, fold in the cream stiffly whipped.
