Press Association) AUCKLAND, I Armed policemen are| maintaining a round-the-clock guard on the home of the Japanese Consul-General in Auckland, according to Assistant Commissioner Gideon Tait. . Mr Tait said that no morel than six men were involved! jin the guard. The men were! drawn from the C. 1.8. and’ I the uniform branch, but i ‘ were in civilian dress for i the task. The guard was mounted’ about 10 days ago, and' would be maintained,; •’depending on circum- j stances, for a little while yet,” Mr Tait said.
