47 killed in Mexico
(N.Z.P.A.Reuter —Copyright) MEXICO CITY, Sept. 30. Forty-seven people were killed when a heavy lorry smashed into a packed bus in heavy mist near Mexico City today, sending it crashing in flames into a ravine. The crash occurred when an articulated lorry loaded with building materials left its lane and hit a bus carrying 80 passengers, according to police. Survivors said that the bus immediately burst into flames and those unable to jump were burned to death. It then toppled off the road and hurtled down a 60metres ravine, dozens of people still being trapped inside.
