Malleys profit rises 28 p.c.

Malleys, Ltd, the domestic appliance manufacturer, achieved a substantial increase in group net profit for the final six months to June 30, to finish with a 28.4 per cent rise to sAust2.4m for the- year.,, ' • The earnings for the six months to December 31 were down 1.8 per cent, and the directors said that the group’s profit for 1974-75 would not match that of the previous, year. Sales nose 16.7 per cent to $76. Im, after being ahead 18.5 per, cent for the six months to December 31.
The annual dividend rate has been maintained at 12 per cent, with a final dividend of 7 per cent recommended. It is covered three times by the profit.
