Release of reprint
: A reprint of Eldersonj Best's historic book, “Wai-' kare-moana.” has recently been released. The first edi-l (tion was printed in 1897 by I the then Government: Printer, John Mackay. The book’s full title was a; .long one: “Waikare-moana,; 'the sea of the rippling' ! waters: the lake; the land; ■the legends. With a tramp (through Tuhoe land.” The Tuhoe land was near, 'the Ureweras the part, of' (New Zealand where Best) 'gained his reputation as an 'authority on Maoritanga. This reprint practically! (completes the republishing! of early New Zealand works, by the Government Printer' ■ and private publishers in re-' Icent years.
