WELLINGTON HOSPITAL BOARD MEDICAL EXECUTIVE POSITIONS FOLLOWING a management re-organisation, the Wellington Hospital Board is seeking two qualified Medical Officers to fill the following posts at Wellington Hospital:— 1. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: In-hospital Medical Services He will be responsible for the standards of in-patient services and the effective use of hospital resources. 2. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: Out-patient Services He will be responsible for the effective functioning of the hospital's Outpatients, Accident and Emergency departments, the Admissions and Waiting List Offices and for the effective coordination of Para-medical services. These positions offer stimulating opportunities for first class training as medical executives, with the challenge of joining a new and vital team from its inception and the opportunity to contribute to improving medical management practices in the hospital service. Preference will be given to those who qualify for Specialist Status in terms of the New Zealand Hospital Service Determination for Medical Officers.
