Big Tasman ship coming
(N.Z. Press Association) | WELLINGTON. September The Union Company will [take delivery of its biggest ship for the Tasman trade, on Monday. I The 7000 ton Union Melbourne will be handed over to the company on a five year charter in Hamburg. It will enter service in October. A New Zealand crew is already in Europe to bring the Union Melbourne to New Zealand. The ship will be the comipany’s biggest Tasman rolllon vessel till a 12,500-ton iship is delivered next April.
