Saturday’s TV1 film
Television One’s Saturday night movie is “Nevada Smith,” a film based on the main character in Harold Robbins’s novel “The Carpetbaggers." It is a tale of revenge, telling how Nevada tracks down the killers of his parents. < Made in 1966, "Nevada ; Smith” was a big box-office i attraction in America. It i stars Steve McQueen, Karl ] Malden, Suzanne Pleshette, Brian Keith, Raf Vallone, Arthur Kennedy, and Martin ’ Landau.
On Saturday at noon TVI will screen “The Punch and Judy Man,” which was Tony Hancock’s last movie and one of his best. It also stars Hattie Jacques, Ronald Fraser, Hugh Lloyd, Barbara Murray, and Sylvia Sims.
