Engineers redundant
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 2. Talks on the phasing out of about 46 engineers and electricians employed by the Union Steam Ship Company will resume in Wellington tomorrow. The men have become redundant because of the .decline in cargo being carried and the number of vessels being laid up. About 22 deck officers and eight masters are also said to face the prospect of redundancy.
