Parliament’s diary
The Prime Minister (Mr Rowling) said he had decided on the election date, but declined to give it when asked by the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Muldoon). In response to further questions he said that November 29 was not the last possible date. The election could be as late as Decernber 13_, (November 29 is still the most favoured date.) The annual report of the Bank of New Zealand was tabled. Members filed eight notices of motion. Ministers answered 16 questions. The house proceeded with the discussion of Estimates.
