Small fire in store
I The entire staff of more , than 200 left the premises of the D.LC. department, store in Cashel Street after fire 'broke out in an office about 9 am. yesterday. The evacuation was completed in two minutes, said the assistant manager (Mr I. IG. Munro). Four units from the Christ--1 church Fire Brigade headquarters attended the call, but | were not required. The fire — which caused I only slight damage to the office — was extinguished bv staff members. Firemen used special equipment to clear the thick smoke, which had 'spread throughout one floor ■of the building.
