An older style threebedroom house, with gar- I age and garden sheds at Tai Tapu, was sold at public auction for $35,000. The house stands next toi the Anglican Church on 1962' sq. m. (1 rood 37.6 perches). The auction w'as attended by 26 people. Bidding started at $25,000. and rose in $lOOO bids to $33,000. and then in; $5OO bids. The auctioneer was Mr L. B. Allan, of Mat-j son and Allan Real Estate. Ltd. A small industrial site of' ! 17.4 perches on industrial “A” land at 24 Foster Street.. Riccarton, was passed in at public auction at $20,900 but: was later sold privately. The auctioneer, Mr R. Brown, of I Livingstone and Company, said that the property was the first small industrial section the company had been offered for some time. Two properties, at 341 and 345 Barbadoes Street, both; i on 227.64 sq. m. of land, both with two bedroomed cottages with furniture, were offered together by public auction by M. B. Cook and Companv. The auctioneer. Mr A. W. McClelland, said that the offering was passed in at ISBSOO.
