Vegetarians confer
The World Vegetarian Congress in Orono, Maine, is planning an international campaign to stop “slaughterhouse suffering, meat-related cancer and heart disease, and meat-related world starvation.” The conference was officially opened by Dr Gordon. Latto, of London, president of the International Vegetarian Union, and is being attended by 2000 delegates from the United States. Europe, Japan. South America and Africa.—Orono.
