Londoners hear Chch band
<N.Z PA Staff Crspdt) LONDON, August 27. Office workers and tourists thronged to St James Park, London, yesterday, to hear a concert by the New Zealand brass band champions, the Skellerup-Woolston band of Christchurch. The band is in Britain to take part in the British open brass band championships in Manchester next week-end and the Edinburgh invitation championships next week. The open-air concert was arranged by the New Zealand High Commission. The band, one of only a few overseas bands to have played in one of the royal parks.
