Tennis squad coaching
The New Zealand girls tennis development squad will be coached in Christchurch next month by the former national women’s champion, Mrs Marilyn Lawrence, formerly Miss Pryde. Mrs Lawrence is being made available by her employer, the Bank of New South Wales, to take the six-girl squad from September 8 to 12. Mrs Lawrence, who was married last month, is becoming increasingly involved in coaching and tennis promotion.
Soccer.—Leeds United, European Cup finalists three months ago. have crashed at home, nil-3 to Liverpool in their English league match.
