State line may expand
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The Shipping Corporation of New Zealand was negotiating with firms in the European and Japanese trades to enter those services, the corporation’s annual report, tabled in parliament said. The feasibility of trading to Persian Gulf countries was being considered, and discussions were being held with officials of the Iranian national line. Entry into the Australian trade would be considered when circumstances were more favourable. The corporation was also considering taking part in the trades to the east and west coasts of North Amerlica, said the report.
