Slight fall in Midland profit
The audited group net profit of Midland Coachlines, Ltd, fell 2.8 per cent to $473,588 in the year to June 30, the directors announce in a preliminary report. The actual decrease is $13,594. It was after providing $36,590 more for taxation at $147,154. The directors recommend an unchanged final ordinary dividend of 5 per cent, together with a special bonus dividend of 1 per cent — the same as last year. It makes an unchanged total of 11 per cent.
The final dividend will be paid on October 28, ex October 7.
