Rugby under new lights
The first Rugby game to be played under the recentlyinstalled lights at the Tai Tapu Domain will take place tonight when Waihora meets the champion town team, Christchurch.
Waihora, which installed the lights, was second in its sub-unions competition, and it will be strengthened by three players from the winning team, Lincoln. They are Mike Ryan, John Taylor, and Eddie Kerr.
*The match, which will begin at 7.30 p.m., has been organised by the Waihora coach —and former Canterbury captain — lan Penrose.
He has tried to instil the open, passing game into his players this year, and believes that Christchurch will give the country people a greater appreciation of this style of play.
