North B.H. continues to shine on market
North B.H. reached a new peak of 137 e on Australian stock exchanges yesterday, in the wake of the new lead and silver discovery at the North Mine, Broken Hill. However, quick profittaking forced the stock back down to close unchanged at 130 c. Several other mining shares recorded worthwhile
gains in slgek trading conditions. Among those were, A.M. and S.. M-IM, Kathleen, Robe River, WoodsideBurmah and W.M.C. C.R.A., Empersr and Weeks fell. Of the coal shares Utah and Coal' and Allied were actively supported, but Thiess droppedAmong the industrial shares, B.H.P. was able to regain the 706 c mark, but C.s.R. lost 2c at 400 e. Comalee, the National Bank, Coles, and Swan Breweries rose 1c to 2c each. Jennings dropped 3c to 92c and Myers fell by a Similar amount to 147 c. Philip Morris eased 10c to 690 e.
