Drink change opposed
The President of the Canterbury Battalion of the Boys’ Brigade, yesterday sent a telegram to the Minister of Justice (Dr Finlay) in Wellington expressing concern about the Government’s intention to lower the legal drinking age to 18. The battalion’s officers urged the Government not to go ahead with the Bill.
