The New Zealanders, Jock Bilger and Murray Ross, fifth in the last leg, took second place over-all with 31.7 points. I They finished just ahead of the West German brothers, Jorg and Exkart Diesch. on 33.8 points.
James Wilmott and James Cook, of Australia, finished fourth in the series.
Golf.—Gary Koch ifniten States) held a one-stroke lead after a 67 in the first round of the $20,700 Dutch Open golf championship at HUversum. Simon Owen (New Zealand) had a 74. Mark Hayes (United States) had a 67 in Akron. Ohio, to lead the United States P.G.A. championship.
Squash.—Two New Zealanders, Julie Hawkes and Pam Buckingham, were both eliminated in the semi-finals of the Western Province women's open squash championships in S'lellenbosch.
