New building for workshops
Pressure on accommodation in the new Canterbury Sheltered Workshops has forced the association to buy a $9OOO relocatable building to enable it to accommodate another 20 I trainees. The Riccarton Borough i Council has approved the erection of the building on ;the Kilmamoch Street site with a special condition that the building be removed in [five years. They have also had many contracts for handcraft Work — leather goods, cane baskets and woven articles Tite association has received a $4OOO legacy from Ithe estate of the late .1. 1 Storry, $lOOO from the J ■* and M.
