Rig arrives late
rjf Z. Press Association/ INVERCARGILL. Aug. 8. Hunt International Petroleum Company’s giant Penrod '74 oil exploration rig was finallv anchored in Paterson ’ Inlet. Stewart island, this afternoon after being delayed by storms last week Maintenance gangs have moved in to make the structure ready for annual survey and modifications expected to take eight to 12 weeks. A consortium led by Southland engineering firms has engaged 35 welders as the main work force.
