A lady sleuth
; Hildegarde Withers, the famous lady sleuth of Stuart Palmer’s .novels, comes to the screen portrayed by Eve Arden. The spinster sleuth, a character Edna May Oliver played in a few 1930 s movies, is a retired schoolteacher whose hobby is solving crimes. Directed by Russell Mayberry, the movie is based on the novel “Hildergard Withers Makes the Scene.” James Gregory, Julie Newmar and Skye Aubrey also star in “A Very Missing Person” which will be shown on TVI on Wednesday night.
