Temporary Judge
f/V Z. Press Association) J WELLINGTON, June 19. ji Sir Trevor Henry has been I jappointed a temporary Judge 3 1 of the Supreme Court.
The Minister of Justice (Dr Finlay) said today the appointment was necessary because of the pressure of work, particularly in Auckland, and the projected appointment of a Judge as chairman of the Royal Commission on Contraception, Sterilisation and Abortion. Sir Trevor was senior puisne Judge when he retired in 1974 after 19 years of service.
Cook Islands.—A senior official in the Justice Department, Mr A. Dibley of Wellington, has been appointed financial secretary to the Cook [stands Government. Mr Dibley, aged 37, is senior executive officer, commercial affairs division, and is also the deputy registrar of companies for New Zealand. He was earlier in Auckland and Nelson. — (P.A.).
