NELSON FORM MIGHT BE GOOD GUIDE

Form at the recent Nelson meeting* should prove a valuable lead to prospects in the legs of the T.A.B. double at the Marlborough Trotting Club's winter meeting tomorrow.

Sidestep and Panther Lopez were both successful on the second day at Nelson and thej' should prove popular fancies in the Marlbor-

ough Winter Cup and the Meadowlands Stud Handicap respectively. Sidestep is a member of the Hinds team of Ted Lowe, who has enjoyed considerable success in the past month or so. He is a beau-tifully-bred four-year-old, being by Garrison Hanover from Corwar and he looks as though he will eventually develop useful form.

There was much merit in his winning run at Nelson, as he was headed early in the run home. Over the final stages he unwound a dogged run which carried him past Irish Rhythm in the last few metres and he won by half a length. Doctor Vos* again I Doctor Voss, destined lor' the United States, could hardly have been more impressive when he won twice at Nelson.
