Young Quinn ’s big test

WASHINGTON. The New Zealand pacer. Young Quinn, the best pacer to come from Down I ndcr in a decade, faces his first big North American test at Yonkers Raceway, New York, tonight.

Young Qumn will try to match strides with seven other top free-for-all performers in the $lOO,OOO Yonkers International Pace Him.).

America at the moment and ;if Young Quinn can win he I will stamp himself as a | “star.” The International, first of a series of three big races at Yonkers in the next few* weeks with total stakes of' $225,000. is the twelfth such' event at Yonkers. It was staged all through the sixties but was dropped in 1972 for lack of high-class;, foreign competition.
