N.Z. ‘tutors’ for Aust.?
(N.Z.PA. Staff Correspondent) SYDNEY.
The All Black coach (Mr J. J. Stewart) and two of his top players. Joe Karam and Tane Norton, may be invited to Australia later this year to tutor the Wallaby team to tour the British Isles.
Thirty Wallaby players will be chosen at the end of October to play a 25-mat.ch tour of the four Home nations.
Australia’s national coaching panel, headed by the former Wallaby centre, Mr Dick Marks, has come up with the idea of inviting the three New Zealanders to give the Wallabies “useful information” about touring Britain. A proposal to invite the three will go before the Australian Rugby Union on June 27.
