WEDNESDAY: LUNCHTIME, 18th June, 12.15p.m. Town Hall Conference Room. THURSDAY: 19th June, Bp.m. Town Hall Conference Room. •10.000 people last month learnt this simple, practical procedure which eliminated fatigue and stress. A world wide explosion of scientific interest in the Transceden.tal Meditation programme is resulting from the discovery of actual improvements in bodily and mental fumctioning and health in people practising it. Positive results have recently been reported in the "Lancet'', Journal of the British Medical Association; Journal of the American Medical Association"; "Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology ; and about 50'other medical and scientific publications. About 250 scientific research projects on it are currently underway. The Canadian Department of Health has ordered a full-scale medical evaluation of the programme. The Transcedental Meditation technique is practised for a few minutes morning and evening, as one sits comfortably with eyes closed. It works by providing ones body with deeper rest than even sleep can do. During this time the mind remains clearly awake and able to respond to stimuli. The technique is straightforward and easily learned. Many major companies overseas ond in New Zealand are paying for their executives to take the programme and it is being introduced officially to British, Canadian, German U.S. and Scandinavian schoolchildren. It. results in clearer thinking and greater motivation. INTERNATIONAL MEDITATION SOCIETY, PHONE 75-859 or 557-905
