SYDNEY. Matches played by the touring Canterbury tennis team in the New South Wales age and school championships at White City yesterday resulted:— Schoolboys doubles, — Semifinal: S. Harley and M. Mooney (Canterbury) beat B. Simpson and G. Young. 7-6. 4-6, 6-1. Final: Harley and Mooney lost to B. Drewett and P. Ferguson. 7-5, 4-6. 8-10. Schoolgirls’ singles. — Semifinal: S. Chapman (Canterbury) beat A. Galloway, 7-5, 6-2. Girls’ under 17 doubles. -Semi-final: Chapman and J Verdellen lost to R. McCann and P. McDonald. 4-6. 2-6. Schoolgirls doubles. — Semifinal: Chapman and Verdellen lost to A. Tobin and K. Leslie. 4-6. 6-3. 3-6.
