N.Z. poets on record
A recorded anthology of New Zealand poetry is now available at most record shops and selected book stores in Christchurch. The three LPs feature 40 New Zealand poets reading their works. Two albums will be sold together under the title "New Zealand Poets Read Their Work,” and the third, a collection of poems for children, will be sold separately. The price for the double album is $l3. The edition of the records is limited to 1000. The albums took more than six months to compile. Tapes were made by poets at present overseas,"and Radio New Zealand supplied others of readings by people such as the late James K. Baxter. The remainder was recorded in studios throughout the country.
The anthology was edited by Jan Kemp, herself a poet, of Auckland, and Jonathon Lamb and Alan Smythe, both of the English department of the University of Auckland.
