TRAFFIC BACK TO NORMAL
i (N.Z.P.A.Reuter—Copyright) BERNE, April 10. Traffic is back to normal through the Simplon and St Gotthard railway tunnels after long delays caused by the avalanches of last weekend. Swiss railway authorities sav that more' than 12,000 cars have gone through the i Simplon Tunnel in the last i four days. At one time, queues of cars 13 miles long were waiting up to 14 hours to board trains at the Italian entrance to the Simplon Tunnel for transport ‘ nto Switzerland.
