Greece denies Turks' charge
j (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) ATHENS, April 10. The Greek Government has denied Turkish allegations that the Aegean Islands could be used as a springboard for an attack against Turkish territory. I “Greece has only the power land will to defend effectively iany part of her mainland or islands in case of attack.” a; ; statement by the Greek Ministry of National Defence' says. Turkey has made repre-! sentations to a number of Western Powers, including Britain, accusing Greece of moving large numbers of! I troops, and heavy military i equipment, to Aegean and J Dodecanese islands close to < her Anatolian coast. Turkey says that this is I* in contravention of inter-Is national pacts which provide for the demilitarisation of the : islands. Ii
