Unsolicited phone calls

Sir, —Why, when proud parents place a birth! announcement in the paper! for news to their friends, is' this piece of news used by others in such a way? Since our announcement, not four! weeks ago, I have received in' excess of eight phoneinquiries from insurance! agents. The phone calls are! pleasant enough but are such! a horrible nuisance. To me this is parasite treatment of. your announcement columns and is to be abhorred.— I Yours, etc., NEW MUM ! April 7, 1975.
