Sports today
“Grandstand’s” cameras will be at the Petone Recreation Ground today for the semi-finals of the Petone Rugby Club’s national club championship tournament. Last season’s club champions from the four main centres will be appearing. The main race of the day is the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s Easter Cup final at Addington, featuring the New Zealand Trotting Cup winner, Robalan. This and three other races from the meeting will be screened.
Other sports to be covered in Saturday’s “Grandstand” are motor-racing from the Ruapuna circuit, Christchurch, and F.E.I. Showjumping from the Isola equestrian centre near Auckland.
Sunday’s “Grandstand” will feature the final of the national club rugby cham- ! pionship from Petone.
