UNIVERSITY CRICKET
In spite of an unbeaten century by Peter Clayton, Lincoln College was beaten by 13 runs by Canterbury during the third round of the national inter-uni-versities cricket tournament- on Thursday. Canterbury, with 26.08 points, still leads from Otago -25.38). Results:— Canterbury 214/6 (Toynbee 47 Cuniiffe 34. Horne 32) beat i Lincoln 201/7 (Clayton 103 not out); Otago 198/9 (Shea 64, Broad 37: Meads 6/71) beat Auckland 153 (Reid 28. Blackburn ‘2D; Waikato 145 '’Shapland 40, i Kuggeleign 30) beat Massey 143/9 (Ver Hock 33; Paul 4/48).
