Mine dispute continues
(From Our Own Reporter'* GREYMOUTH. Work is unlikely to re-1 sume at the Strongman State mine before next; Wednesday. The mine has been idle since last Fridaj’ over a pay dispute. Discussions between* the president of the Runanga' State Miners’ Union (Mr H. Pattinson) and Mines De-, partment in Wellington' yesterday was not fruitful.; After a further meeting today the miners returned home. The national executive of the United Mineworkers will come to the West Coast on Tuesday in an effort to resolve the dispute.
