' \ Z A > —(••purmlitHELSINKI. The Finnish Government has decided against dumping nearlx 700 arsenic barrels into the southern Atlantic, the Finnish Radio announced. The decision came at an extraordinarv meeting and the Government asked the State's oil company to bring the 690 barrels of poisonous wastes back to Finland, the radio said After receiving formal protests from two Latin American countries — Brazil and Argentina—the Government held an extraordinary session yesterday at which it rejected the dumping application the oil company. Neste, tiled last Tuesday The decision apparently means a few hundred thousand marks extra costs to the oil company, the Traffic Minister (Mr Pekka Tarjanne) said in a radio interview. but the international damage would have been much greater had the, planned dumping been; allowed. i
