I he New Zealand speedway test rider, Larry Ross, of Christchurch, has gone to Britain to join the famous London club. Wimbledon. Ross got his big chance after impressing the lormer world champion. Barry Briggs, during the New Zealand season recent!) ended. Briggs, who rode with Ross in the New Zealand team against the Poles, decided he was a rider witli an international future and arranged for him to go to Wimbledon. However, it is unlikely that he will ride first division this year. Wimbledon is connected with the second division club. Canterbury, and Ross will amost certainly race tor it. This summer. Ross became a double international when he represented New Zealand at both moto-cross and speedway. He is a former South Island moto-cross champion.
