WELLINGTON, March 24.
An action by the Educational Institute seeking a declaration to invalidate the State Services Commission’s appointment of a new
Director-General of Education was struck out by Mr Justice White in a .judgment
delivered today in the Supreme Court at Wellington. The present director-
■ general (Mr A. N. V. Dobbs) i is due to retire in July, and ! the commission announced • that his successor would be ' Mr W. L. Renwick.
Mr Renwick was not a party to the court proceedings.
