St Albans Park trees
Sir, — I fully agree with “Hearts of Oak” and “Impact Report” that it would be a senseless act for the City Council to cut down this large number of trees to make an area of land available to the bowling club for its facilities when there is already an area of ground to the south sufficient for its requirements. However, it may have been preferable for both writers to have
first obtained the full facts from the club concerned before writing in these columns. I am sure these would have been given willingly. Alternatively the council may wish to publish its reasons for not allowing the club to extend to the south. — Yours, etc., A COME ALIVE BOWLER. March 12, 1975.
