Dog nuisance
Sir, — I would like to comment on the remarks of “Simeon Street Resident.” All animals unfortunately seem fated to burst into the limelight at one time or another and while I would agree that dog owners who do not exercise adequate control over their animals should be prosecuted, I in nu way share his other sentiments on this problem. These filthy, mangy dogs and pups he describes are the unfortunates of the canine world, illtreated, unwanted. neglected, and hated by a minority of our community. The fortunate ones lead a more comfortable and contented life than you or I are able to, and in most:
cases are more intelligent and loyal than some people who contribute to this column. —Yours etc., JUST A WAG. March 10, 1975.
