Women’s Year
Sir, — The Government is to give $68,000 to International Women’s Year, and women are to be encouraged out into the community. Whatever next, shelter sheds at schools, enlarged sick bays at high schools already burdened with sick children because mum’s not home? And this from a Government pledged to improving the quality of family life and the discouragement of juvenile crime? Face it — if you are a mother, your community service is the prevention of community burdens by looking after your own family. — Yours etc., TIME FOR A REFUND. March 11, 1975.
