Norton in demand
The All Black hooker, Tane Norton, will be equipped to set a fast pace for other senior footballers when the Christchurch Rugby championship starts on April 5. Norton played in a match in Oamaru last Saturday, and he had agreed to play in games ip South Canterbury and Southland in the next two week-ends.
On Easter Saturday he will play in a match in Auckland, and will then fly south to take part in a coaching school on Easter Day. On Easter Monday he will be in Temuka for the local club’s centenary celebrations game. When the inter-club competition starts on April 5, Norton will be back in Linwood’s colours. And the next day he will be in Te Kuiti for a special Colin Meads match. Norton estimates he has also given about 20 talks on the All Blacks tour of Ireland last November.
