Talks on Tasman travel
IN.Z. Press Association) , WELLINGTON, March 11. . Travel documents for New 'Zealanders and Australians crossing the Tasman will be discussed at a Ministerial meeting in Wellington later (this month. The meeting, between the Minister of Immigration (Mr I Colman) and his Australian counterpart, Mr Cameron, I will begin on March 23. | An Immigration Departement officer (Mr J. L. Fougy) said that the Ministers would discuss Tasman travel in the light of changed immigration policies, which involved restrictions on the immigration of British nationals. Although the freedom of Tasman travel would be discussed, it would be “pure speculation” to suggest that some form of visa would be I introduced.
