SYDNEY TRIP STILL ON
(N.Z. Press Association)
AUCKLAND. Moderate showings by New Zealand’s Sydney Cup hopes in Saturday’s Second Century Stakes at Ellerslie have not dissuaded the connections of any of them from making the Australian trip. Jandell, Kia Maia, Apollo Eleven and Battle Heights and Sky Ways will fly to Sydney on Thursday.
Jandell went best of the Sydney Cup hopes in Saturday’s race. She finished third, though well beaten by Hi-Bing and Kiwi Can.
