Blackberry cake
| (By CELIA TIMMS) i In this recipe for blackberry cake the fresh fruit is .cooked in the batter. It 'should be baked in an aver-, age-sized loaf pan. You will need: — Two-thirds cup butter cups sugar 2 eggs 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon bi-carb. soda 1 cup milk 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon nutmeg 2 teaspoons cocoa 3 cups fresh blackberries I Method: Cream butter and isugar until light, add eggs and continue to beat until i fluffy. Add flour sifted with soda, spices and cocoa alter- > nately with milk and finally fold in the fruit. The batter will be thick. Spoon into a prepared loaf pan and bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes. I
