Meat Bd to see Minister
GV Z. Press Association> WELLINGTON, March 3. The Minister of Agriculture (Mr Moyle) will meet officials nf the Meat Board early this) week before reporting to the Cabinet Economic Committee on the progress of the Government’s planned price stabilisation scheme. The Acting Prime Minister JMr Tizard) said today that the Meat Board had asked for another meeting with the •Minister. The Government mentioned a stabilising scheme affecting beef and sheepmeat prices.when it announced a ssom aid to farmers in January.
Mr Tizard emphasised today that the ssom grant for the 1975-76 season was the lull extent of the Government’s hand-out Anvthme further would have to be from the Reserve Bank, and •would have to be repaid. The effect stabilisation would have on United States quotas would also have to be studied, he said.
